Playing Time

The Head Coach of each team determines the playing time each player gets.  Players should understand the way you practice is the way you play and the playing time the player gets in the game usually depends on how hard the player works at practice, their attitude, the effort put into learning and executing,  and game match ups.  The coaches at Georgia Livin Legends will try to play each player, however every game is different depending on the style of play, and the opposing talent.  There is no guarantee your child will play in every game.

Style of Play

The Georgia Livin Legends Program stresses an aggressive style of play that emphasizes the development of the basic fundamentals of the game of basketball. The team concept is an absolute necessity with tremendous intensity on defense, constant movement on offense and playing as a team. This concept demands that the student athlete be in great mental and physical condition.

Discipline and Attitude

Negative attitude, disrespect towards Coaches, Teammates, Parents, Opponents and Officials will not be tolerated.   A common phrase heard in team sports is “Your attitude determines your altitude.”  In essence, this means that if a player wants to be successful they need to have a positive, can-do attitude.  Poor attitude can display a lack of maturity and sometimes judgment and can cause a team embarrassment and effect its collaboration and game play.  A major determining factor in getting recruited is how players compete and interact with their teammates and opponents; in addition to a rigorous work ethic and the ability to go the extra mile for the team.  Georgia Livin Legends will instill humility, graciousness and good sportsmanship.  Our players will learn how to make good decisions, and will be held accountable for the actions they take on and off the court.
